NFL Week 4 Predictions

Cleveland Browns logo Baltimore Ravens logo Cleveland at Baltimore (-12.5, O/U 40.5)
Coming off a big win over New England, I expect the Ravens to come out with a lot of energy given that they are playing in front of their home crowd. Cleveland's defense will keep them remotely close, at least to cover the spread.
Baltimore 21-10
Spread: Cleveland (400)
O/U: Under (300)

Carolina Panthers logo NFL Atlanta Falcons logo NFL Carolina at Atlanta (-7.5, O/U 48.5)
Carolina, as exhibited by their performance against the Giants in week three, have some problems going up against the league's better offense's. Couple that with the way Atlanta has been playing defense and I see a high scoring game going the Falcon's way late as Atlanta moves to 4-0.
Atlanta 38-27
Spread: Atlanta (700)
O/U: Over (400)

New England Patriots logo NFL Buffalo Bills logo NFL New England at Buffalo (+3.5, O/U 50.5)
The Bills defense hasn't shown me anything thus far in 2012. That's good news for a Patriots team that very easily could be 3-0. New England plays sharp for four quarters, swiftly defeating the Bills to move to 2-2.
New England 28-17
Spread: New England (1000)
O/U: Under (500)

Minnesota Vikings logo NFL Detroit Lions logo NFL Minnesota at Detroit (-4, O/U 48.5)
Detroit looked erratic once again in week three. Now they are an early must win situation to avoid plunging into a two game hole within the division. Detroit has yet to find a way to play solid defense for 60 minutes and with Christian Ponder and the Vikings coming into town, I expect them to run the ball well with Adrian Peterson and exploit Detroit's weakness's in the secondary. Minnesota moves to 3-1 and Detroit slides to a disappointing 1-3.
Minnesota 27-23
Spread: Minnesota (300)
O/U: Over (300)

San Diego Chargers logo NFL Kansas City Chiefs logo NFL San Diego at Kansas City (+1.5, O/U 44.5)
Kansas City avoided an 0-3 start thanks to an exceptional performance from Jamaal Charles. Now will the Kansas City defense that I expected to be elite step up? At Arrowhead Stadium, a place that haunts Phillip Rivers after last season's late game miscue, the Chiefs will scrape together a win to head to 2-2.
Kansas City 24-21
Spread: Kansas City (500)
O/U: Over (100)

Seattle Seahawks logo NFL St. Louis Rams logo NFL Seattle at St. Louis (-3, O/U 39)
After watching Sam Bradford tuck the ball and take sacks last week against Chicago, I don't see many things changing against Seattle this week. Though I believe these are two of the more unpredictable teams in the league right now, I'll bank on Seattle carrying some momentum off of Monday Night's bizarre win to move to 3-1 behind another stellar defensive performance.
Seattle 17-13
Spread: Seattle (200)
O/U: Under (300)

San Francisco 49ers logo NFL New York Jets logo NFL San Francisco at New York (+4, O/U 41.5)
The 49ers were surprised last week in Minnesota. But against the Jets this week, they will face an erratic quarterback with no running game to support him along with a defense that will be without their best player who shuts down nearly half the field in Darrelle Revis. All 49ers in the Meadowlands.
San Francisco 27-0
Spread: San Francisco (1000)
O/U: Under (500)

Tennessee Titans logo NFL Houston Texans logo NFL Tennessee at Houston (-12, O/U 44.5)
Houston faced their first test of the week in Denver last week and passed. Now they face a Titans team with little running game and a mercurial quarterback in Jake Locker who has flashes of brilliance and moments of ineptitude. I'll predict that the Titans have a few more tricks up their sleeve from last week, allowing them to capitalize on some uncharacteristic miscues by the host Texans. Tennessee shocks the Texans in overtime.
Tennessee 33-27 OT
Spread: Tennessee (300)
O/U: Over (300)

Oakland Raiders logo NFL Denver Broncos logo NFL Oakland at Denver (-7, O/U 48.5)
Denver is in an early season, must win if they want to have a smoother path for the next five or six weeks game. They are playing a Raiders team that hasn't been sharp defensively and has been inconsistent offensively. Denver must step up at home to move to 2-2 and I believe they will do so in a convincing manner.
Denver 29-17
Spread: Denver (500)
O/U: Under (100)

Miami Dolphins logo NFL Arizona Cardinals logo NFL Miami at Arizona (-5, O/U 40.5)
The Cardinals are flying high early in 2012 and on paper, it looks like they should start the season about 5 or 6-0. Not so fast! The Miami Dolphins are playing passionate football and against a Cardinals offense ready to come back down to earth and a Arizona defense that might be getting a little too cocky, Miami figures out a way to stay in the game and take a late lead to shock Arizona.
Miami 21-19
Spread: Miami (400)
O/U: Under (300)

Cincinnati Bengals logo NFL Jacksonville Jaguars logo NFL Cincinnati at Jacksonville (+1, O/U 44.5)
I like the way Cincinnati has bounced back after a brutal loss in Baltimore week one. The Bengals and Jaguars played in a tight affair last year and I expect it to be somewhat similar this year. Both defenses will keep their teams in the game, but ultimately it will be Andy Dalton and A.J. Green finding each other in crucial moments in the fourth quarter to give Cincinnati the win.
Cincinnati 24-17
Spread: Cincinnati (700)
O/U: Under (200)

New Orleans Saints logo NFL Green Bay Packers logo NFL New Orleans at Green Bay (-7.5, O/U 53)
How about another shocker. New Orleans is 0-3, but they are not very far away from being 1-2, or even 2-1 for that matter. They need to correct a few minor things, yes, but so does Green Bay. The Packers have struggled to protect Aaron Rodgers and it has put him out of synch with his receivers. New Orleans puts all hands on deck and defeats Green Bay to put both teams at surprising 1-3 records.
New Orleans 34-29
Spread: New Orleans (200)
O/U: Over (400)

Washington Redskins logo NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers Washington at Tampa Bay (-2, O/U 47.5)
I've been very impressed with Tampa Bay, even though they are only 1-2. Their defense is aggressive and has a lot of fight in them. Against RGIII this week, they will continue to pound and harass for the entire afternoon, potentially enticing a few turnovers from the Redskins offense just like they have to the last three quarterbacks they've faced. Josh Freeman comes through when the Bucs need him to, giving the Buccaneers the win.
Tampa Bay 30-18
Spread: Tampa Bay (700)
O/U: Over (200)

New York Giants logo NFL Philadelphia Eagles logo NFL New York at Philadelphia (-2.5, O/U 47.5)
I see a major issue for the Eagles this Sunday Night- protecting Michael Vick. Against Arizona, the Eagles O-line had no answer for the pressure by the Cardinals. I expect the Giants to be able to have similar success, causing Philadelphia to play from behind for the entire night. The Giants hold on late and advance to 3-1.
New York 24-22
Spread: New York (400)
O/U: Under (200)

Chicago Bears logo NFL Dallas Cowboys logo NFL Chicago at Dallas (-3.5, O/U 42)
Very interesting Monday Night matchup in Dallas. Two of the league's better defenses square off against two opposing the offenses that are as unpredictable as they come. One big factor in this game is the health of Matt Forte. We saw last week how shaky things were for the Bears without Forte in the backfield. Dallas's defense should have success forcing a couple turnovers and the Cowboys offense, as long as they are able to stave off Julius Peppers and the Bears pass rush, should be able to move the ball consistently against the Bears.
Dallas 20-17
Spread: Chicago (200)
O/U: Under (200)
