Alabama came in looking for their third title in four years while Notre Dame was looking to shock the college football world and win their first national title in the BCS era. 
But right from the start, Alabama was in complete control, jumping out to a 21-0 lead early in the first quarter. 
A.J. McCarron was phenomenal for the second straight national title game as Alabama secured their second straight BCS title.
