It set up to be more like a consolation for these two teams who were in the drivers seat to play in the national title game back in November. 
On the opening kickoff, De'Anthony Thomas took it back 94 yards to put Oregon in front 8-0. 
Similar to the Rose Bowl, it looked like a rout early as De'Anthony Thomas scored again on a touchdown reception to put Oregon up 15-0.
Heisman finalist Colin Klein lead the Wildcats down the field to narrow the score to 15-7. 
But Oregon would put the game away shortly their after as they maintained control throughout to win the Fiesta Bowl.
