20 Indianapolis Colts v.s. Washington Redskins- Andrew Luck v.s. Robert Griffin III anyone? While this may not happen this year, it is the equivalent of Heat/Thunder in the NBA and could certainly happen in the near future.
19 Indianapolis Colts v.s. Green Bay Packers- Andrew Luck has looked so impressive this preseason, that it may not be inconceivable to think that his Colts may take on the league's current maestro at the quarterback position.
18 New York Jets v.s. New York Giants- Tim Tebow takes over a 1-4 Jets team, sneaks into the playoffs at 9-7, knocks off the top three seeds including the Patriots in the AFC Championship game to go to the Super Bowl where they face the Giants in the battle of the Meadowlands.
17 Buffalo Bills v.s. Detroit Lions- Two downtrodden franchises each have seasons of destiny where one finally breaks through to win their first Super Bowl.
16 Denver Broncos v.s. New Orleans Saints- Now let's get a bit more serious. Wouldn't we all love a Peyton Manning/Drew Brees duel in both Manning and Bree's backyards sort to speak.
15 Cincinnati Bengals v.s. Carolina Panthers- The two breakout rookies from last year take their two contrasting offensive styles into the Super Dome where one gets the upper leg on the "best of 2011 draft" debate.
14 San Diego Chargers v.s. Dallas Cowboys- The Chargers and Cowboys each have turnaround campaigns led by their prolific, yet mistake prone quarterbacks in a matchup that would surely turn into a shootout.
13 Baltimore Ravens v.s. Atlanta Falcons- Similar to a Dalton/Newton duel except on a little bit of a bigger scale, Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan meet, further sparking a rivalry between non conference foes.
12 Houston Texans v.s. Philadelphia Eagles- Take the NFL's most proven dynamic-duel threat quarterback and throw him up against the opposing conference's best defense.
11 Pittsburgh Steelers v.s. Chicago Bears- It doesn't get much more classical that Steelers/Bears, where two teams with their respective icons on defense in Troy Polamalu and Brian Urlacher meet in a battle that could come down to which quarterback lights it up more with their receivers.
10 Houston Texans v.s. Detroit Lions- Two of the NFL's trendiest picks to go deep this year break through and meet in a battle that is sure to feature the two best Johnson's in the league.
9 New England Patriots v.s. New Orleans Saints- Brady v.s. Brees, Gronkowski v.s. Graham, enough said.
8 New England Patriots v.s. Dallas Cowboys- Tom Brady and Tony Romo, two of the NFL's most well known and polarizing figures meet in two quests to cement the Patriots legacy on top of all other dynasties and a mission to restore the Cowboys atop the NFL once again.
7 Baltimore Ravens v.s. Chicago Bears- Ray Lewis lining up one side for the Ravens and Brian Urlacher lining up on the opposing side. And they say the NFL is all about offense.
6 Pittsburgh Steelers v.s. San Francisco 49ers- It wouldn't get any more hard hitting than these two blue collar teams facing off on a fast surface in the Bayou.
5 New England Patriots v.s. New York Giants- Rematch anyone? Yes, as long as part three is entertaining as the first two.
4 Denver Broncos v.s. New York Giants- Brotherly love? Probably not because Peyton will be trying to equal Eli's Super Bowl win total in both brother/s home city.
3 Denver Broncos v.s. Green Bay Packers- Peyton Manning v.s. Aaron Rodgers, I would take the over.
2 New England Patriots v.s. San Francisco 49ers- There would not be one other offense v.s. defense matchup more appealing that Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and the Patriots facing off against the lethal and speedy 49ers defense led by Patrick Willis and Aldon Smith.
1 New England Patriots v.s. Green Bay Packers- The epic showdown that pretty much everyone is hoping for. Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, two quarterbacks playing at a level that few quarterbacks have ever played at, squaring off in New Orleans on February 3.
While I'm at it, here are five of the best potential conference championship match ups.
